Transparency and the Publication of Financial Information
In accordance with the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the Parish Council is required to publish certain financial information each year to ensure accountability in the use of public funds. This includes, but is not limited to, annual accounts, internal audit reports, and details of significant expenditure.
As a matter of best practice, the Parish Council goes beyond the statutory minimum by proactively publishing a wider range of financial documents and information. This approach reflects the Council’s commitment to openness, transparency, and responsible financial stewardship.
By making this information readily available, the Parish Council seeks to ensure that residents can see clearly how public money is being managed and spent within the Parish. This not only helps build public trust, but also encourages community engagement and promotes an informed and active local democracy.
